The College aims to:
provide the students with an educational experience which will broaden their intellectual outlook beyond their own professional domain, enhancing their awareness as responsible adults in the society, 
develop in the students the skill in therapeutic procedures that will enable them to respond to the health needs of the people in their respective community, and

help the students utilize and extend the application of their knowledge and skills to accommodate the changing nature of local and international practice as functional members of the society.


  
On completion of the course, the students should be able to: pass the government board examination which will qualify them to practice as licensed physical therapists;

exercise a health educational role towards patients and members of the community in the prevention of injury and illness;

apply a holistic approach to patient care;

communicate effectively with patients and professional colleagues as well as other members of the community;

demonstrate the ability to adopt an investigative approach to academic and clinical problems;

assess, as physical therapists, the physical, mental, and environmental factors influencing the patient and propose a clinical diagnosis;

plan a therapeutic program designed to attain treatment objectives recognizing the involvement and priorities of other members of the health care team;

implement a therapeutic program with the maximum degree of safety, effectiveness, and efficiency;

evaluate the effectiveness of assessment, components of a therapeutic program, and the total physiotherapy management of the patient;

advise and instruct patients, relatives, and other members of the health care team on the management of disability;

demonstrate an awareness of the economic, psychological, cultural, and other sociological factors which may influence the context of contemporary therapeutic practice; and

demonstrate an awareness, as physical therapists, of the responsibility to maintain and promote the highest professional and ethical standard and to contribute to the development of the profession.
